The team is led by Chris Mattos, a Chartered Tax Adviser with over 20 years’ experience in tax practice, including being tax partner at Randall & Payne. HMRC is developing a new digital approach to tax administration and this will mean bigger charges for businesses over the next few years.
The first tax to be affected by this new digital approach is VAT. VAT-registered businesses with a turnover higher than the VAT threshold will have to comply with the new ‘Making Tax Digital’ system from April 2019.
The main change is the requirement to keep rewards in digital form (i.e., using cloud accounting software). We have already transitioned clients onto Quickbooks and Xero and have seen an increase in the quality of management information they have access to. We will be supporting more clients in making the transition in the coming months.

For small owner managed businesses we provide a full taxation service which includes bookkeeping, the completion and submission of the annual tax return (and related accompanying accounts) and dealing with payroll (including P11Ds) and VAT obligations.
We offer our clients an annual tax review which looks at the operation of their remuneration. We also provide company secretarial services including being the registered office for our clients.
Completing a self assessment tax return can be a very frustrating and sometimes stressful process so it is our aim to take this hassle away for you. Whilst as tax specialists we will ensure that you complete your legal requirements we also pride ourselves on the efficiency of our service and the competitive level of our fixed fees.
In addition to preparing and submitting tax returns, we also offer our clients an annual tax review to ensure that they are claiming the allowances and exemptions that they are entitled to.
